On-loan Swansea City striker Borja came up against a star-studded Real Madrid side at the Bernabeu this weekend.

The frontman came on for the final 29 minutes as Malaga were beaten 3-2 by Real, who triumphed courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo’s late winner.

Elsewhere in Spain, Jordi Amat played the full game as Real Betis drew 2-2 with Girona.

Jefferson Montero, meantime, will hope for some action when Getafe face Espanyol tonight.

Back on these shores, Connor Roberts did not feature for Middlesbrough as they were beaten at home by Derby.

Matt Grimes has been a regular in League One with Northampton Town, and he played another 90 minutes over the weekend as they drew 0-0 at Bury.

He had also played in their 2-0 loss at Plymouth in midweek.

In League Two, young defender Keston Davies was once again an unused substitute as Yeovil were beaten at Wycombe.

North of the border, Botti Biabi was also left on the bench as Hamilton drew 1-1 with Hibs.
