Matt Grimes helped Northampton to a third consecutive win last weekend as the Cobblers rose out of the League One relegation zone.

The midfielder made his 30th appearance of the season for Northampton, who are now 18th thanks to their 2-1 home victory against rivals MK Dons.

In League Two, Tyler Reid came off the bench as Newport moved to within two points of the play-offs following a 2-1 win over Crawley at Rodney Parade.

The full-back was introduced in the 70th minute, taking the place of his former Swans team-mate Josh Sheehan, as Michael Flynn's side held on in a tense finish.

Newport will look to make it five straight wins in all competitions tonight when they host Morecambe before welcoming Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the FA Cup.

In La Liga, Borja featured as Malaga earned a point at his former loan club Eibar.

He played the final 30 minutes as Malaga claimed a 1-1 draw - a result which sees them sit six points adrift of safety.

Jordia Amat was an unused sub as Real Betis were thumped 5-0 at home by Barcelona while Jefferson Montero was not involved as Getafe drew 2-2 with Athletic Bilbao.
