Steve Cooper felt his Swansea City players had put everything on the line to ensure they left west London with three points against QPR.

The Swans showed their attacking capabilities with goals from Bersant Celina, Borja Baston and Sam Surridge, but they also had to defend manfully at times.

Joe Rodon, Jake Bidwell and Jay Fulton were among those to make crucial blocks in what was a fine all-round team performance.

And head coach Cooper was delighted with the attitude and application his players showed when under the cosh.

“There are two sides to the game, we have all said how we want to play and we are committed to that. We scored three really good goals tonight,” he said.

“But we are not snobbish enough to think that you can neglect defending in all areas of the pitch.

“I thought at times we pressed well in the first half, our mid-block was outstanding.

“When they did get through we had players defending first and foremost with their heart and soul, putting everything on the line.

“But there was a lot of good decision-making too, and that’s where we want to be.”
