Swansea City Ladies travel to rivals Cardiff City Women (2pm) in a match that could prove vital in the race for the Welsh Premier Women’s League title.

With just five league games left, the Swans are currently in a very strong position at the top of the league while boasting a 100 per cent record.

Meanwhile, the Bluebirds currently sit third behind Cardiff Met and six points adrift of the league leaders.

Swansea City Ladies manager Ian Owen

“We’ve played twice already this season and Sunday will be just as intense as those games, we will just focus on our own performance and see what the outcome is,” said Swans boss Ian Owen.

“Sunday is always going to be a key fixture in the season but we will approach it like any other match.”

Owen’s side will travel to Leckwith on a high after progressing to the WPWL Cup final last weekend.

“We enjoyed the cup win on Sunday and we were delighted to reach the final. We played well and the team deserved the reward," he added.
