Swansea City Ladies are in Genero Adran Premier action this afternoon as they take on Port Talbot Town Ladies at Victoria Road (2pm).

Going into the fixture, the Swans sit six points ahead of Cardiff Met at the top of the Adran Premier, meanwhile Port Talbot are in sixth place.

Chris Church’s side are in excellent form; following their 3-0 win over Aberystwyth in midweek they have scored 30 goals in 10 matches.

On the other hand, Port Talbot have struggled defensively this season, conceding 34 goals.

Pre-match views

Chris Church: “Port Talbot will be a very difficult side to play against as they always are. Last time we were unlucky not to win, especially being down to 10 players, we dominated but couldn’t find the final moment to score.

“The players this season have been so potent in front of goal as shown by the number of different goal scorers, so that will stand us in good stead.

“The players have been fantastic and deserve the plaudits (for being six points clear), the credit should also go to my staff because they’ve helped to make this possible as well, so it’s a real huge effort from all.”

Remember the last time?

Port Talbot frustrated the Swans in the last meeting between the two sides in a goalless draw at Victoria Road.

Swansea controlled the flow of the match but were dealt a blow at the end of the first half as Emma Beynon was shown a second yellow card.

Despite this, the defending champions remained firmly on top but, ultimately, they were unable to find the winner.
