Swansea City Ladies play host to Cardiff City Women at Llandarcy in a clash between the top two of the Genero Adran Premier today (2pm).

The Swans sit top of the Adran Premier, level on points with the Bluebirds with the two-time defending champions having a game in hand.

The last time Swansea dropped any points against Cardiff was in March 2020, when the sides played out a goalless draw at Llandarcy.

Chris Church: “We always want to test ourselves against good teams. The players and I enjoy our clashes with Cardiff, not just because of the rivalry, but they come to play football which makes it a good game.

“There is no pressure on my players, as they have been in these situations many times before. Cardiff must come here and do something no other team has done, so we will see who deals with pressure the best.

“We want to make the league more appealing every week, so more and more people take an interest in it, which these types of games will hopefully do.

Remember the last time?

Earlier on in the campaign, the Swans came away from Cardiff with a handsome 4-0 victory.

Chloe Chivers ensured the visitors got off to a strong start at Leckwith after the forward dinked the ball over Ceryn Chamberlain from long-range.

Swansea were then ruthless in the second half as Katy Hosford doubled the lead as she saw her cross find its way into the far corner.

The three points were then sealed after Rhianne Oakley came off the bench and bagged a brace.
