Russell Martin admits he has some selection headaches ahead of Swansea City’s clash with Huddersfield Town, and will need to manage the workload of some players ahead of a busy Championship week.

The Swans host the Terriers looking to extend their four-match unbeaten run, while the visitors are in good form themselves having climbed out of the relegation zone.

Head coach Martin made changes for Monday’s meeting with Wigan given the quick turnaround from the Good Friday draw with Coventry.

And with games against Preston and Norwich following hot on the heels of Saturday’s game against Huddersfield, the workloads of players such as Liam Walsh, Jamie Paterson and Joe Allen will need to be assessed following their recent returns to the starting line-up.

“Everyone is fit, although we have got to keep an eye on Walshy as he has not played much recently and we have three games in a week,” said the Swans boss.

“Pato had not started for a long time, and he had a few niggles after the game the other day which is not what you want.

“Joe Allen had his first start for a while, and we have to be mindful that we play Preston on Wednesday and then have a long journey to Norwich.

“With a three-game week we have to be mindful of that, but everyone else is raring to go and hopefully we can get another good result on Saturday.”
