Swansea City head coach Steve Cooper says he is happy with the make-up of his squad as the summer transfer window draws to a close.

Cooper has seen six players added to his squad since his appointment in June; with Jake Bidwell, Ben Wilmot, Freddie Woodman, Kristoffer Peterson, Aldo Kalulu and Sam Surridge all sealing moves to the Liberty Stadium.

And while the Swans boss acknowledged the sales of Daniel James and Oli McBurnie to Premier League clubs Manchester United and Sheffield United respectively, he is feeling positive about the options available to him.

“I am definitely happy with what I have got,” he said.

“Obviously there were some high-profile lads leaving in Dan James before I came in, and Oli more recently, which was not a real surprise I don’t think.

“But at the same time we have been quite active in knowing what we want to bring in, and we are very happy with the squad and look forward to continuing to progress and do the best we can for the club.

“I don’t think there will be a coach or manager anywhere in the country who will not want something more, but I am happy.

“We have got some really good options in all positions for any game that is going to come our way.

“Now, it’s all about looking forward and - with the deadline coming and going - you can get the thoughts of any changes out of your head and get settled.

“We can look forward and build in terms of how we want to keep building the performances and the culture we have got here.”
