Steve Cooper | It's another really professional performance
Steve Cooper was pleased with another professional display from Swansea City as they climbed to second in the Championship table with a 2-0 win at Queens Park Rangers.
Andre Ayew and Jamal Lowe scored either side of half-time, while the Swans kept a fifth clean sheet in six games to move into the automatic promotion spots.
Ayew opened the scoring on the stroke of the interval, reacting first after Jake Bidwell’s looping header had deflected back into play off the post.
And Lowe scored his fourth goal in four games by slotting home from an excellent Matt Grimes pass to put the seal on a good afternoon’s work for the Swans.
“I am really pleased with the win, I thought it was a tight game first half and we were really happy to come in with a lead,” said head coach Cooper.
“The second half was about managing the game, we felt there would be space to go and get a second and it came off for us.
“It was a really good performance again, I thought we were good for the win. We were very professional in how we went about it and the boys deserve a lot of credit.
“We were good defensively again, we always say defending is about the whole team, so it was a good performance.
“A 2-0 win away from home is a great result.”
