Steve Cooper | We go out there wanting to be on the front foot

Steve Cooper wants Swansea City to continue to look to be positive as they take on Reading at the Madejski Stadium today (12pm).

The Swans know a point will be enough to confirm their place in the play-offs, with Reading eight points behind with three games remaining.

The Royals are the only side outside the current top six who can force their way into the play-off spots.

But head coach Cooper has made clear he has no intention of playing for a point, and will again send his side out with the message to be on the front foot and aiming for the three points.

“All season we have tried to be positive and on the front foot and we want to continue with that,” said the Swans boss.

“Sometimes we have played better than others, but we have always looked to be positive and that does not change.

“So, I don’t know what sort of message you send out to the players if you play for a draw, we always want to win.

“I think that whatever has happened before is now behind us and we look forward.

“We are in a positive position in terms of the play-offs, and we should take confidence from that and look to get the job done."
