Swans coaches spread the word in Emerald Isle

Swansea City academy hosted an education workshop for coaches across Ireland.

More than 40 local coaches from football clubs across the Republic and Northern Ireland attended the second annual event in Belfast this month.

Head of academy coaching Roy Thomas delivered a series of presentations as well as practical sessions with players drawn from our development centres in Northern Ireland.

“The coaching conference was a great success,” Thomas said.

“Over 40 coaches gained an insight into our academy’s playing and coaching philosophies.”
