Swans share the Christmas spirit with kids

22nd December

The Swans brought some festive cheer to a group of happy youngsters ahead of the Christmas period.
Swans stars Gylfi Sigurdsson, Leroy Fer, Nathan Dyer, Neil Taylor, Wayne Routledge and Kyle Naughton visited Swansea toy shop Smyths to meet 60 specially selected children in need from the local community to give them an early Christmas present - or two.
The players not only took time out to have pictures, sign autographs and chat about all things Swans and Christmas, they also sent all of the children around the store to select presents of their choice.
The Swans players then met them back at the till to pay for every single present the children selected.

Taylor, who organised the event on behalf of the players, said: "It's an event we have started to do every year. The players were more than happy to contribute to the cause.
"Unfortunately, some children are less fortunate than others at this time of year, and if we can help to put a smile on their faces over the festive period it means a lot to them and to us.
"Seeing the children's reaction going around the store loading their trollies with toys for Christmas is heartwarming for everyone.
"We've always been a community club, and events like this help reinforce that message."
