Swans wait for injury news

Swansea City must wait to see the extent of Bersant Celina’s ankle injury after he was forced off against Nottingham Forest.

And they will also monitor Jay Fulton after he was withdrawn having complained of sickness.

Celina and Fulton were both substituted at half-time in the Swans’ goalless draw.

Celina was caught late in the first period by a nasty tackle from Forest defender Saidy Janko, while Fulton was struggling after an early clash of heads.

“Bersant stretched his ankle ligaments in the challenge at the end of first half,” Potter said.

“I don’t think it was a particularly great challenge. It’s probably mistimed but that’s part of football.

“It’s up to the referee to decide on that sort of thing, but I am not one to give views on the performances of referees.

“We will just have to see how Bersant responds in the next 24 to 48 hours.

“Jay was feeling sick. We wanted to err on the side of caution, but as far as we know it was not concussion. We will have to see how he is.”

The Swans are already with Leroy Fer (groin) for Tuesday’s trip to Stoke, while Tom Carroll missed the Forest game with a hip injury.

Jefferson Montero (quad) and Wilfried Bony (knee) are also on the sidelines, while Courtney Baker-Richardson is suspended.
