Connor Roberts is on his way back to Swansea City having won his fourth cap for Wales as Ryan Giggs’s team were beaten in Denmark.

Full-back Roberts was deployed in a more advanced role on the right of midfield, just as he had been in the Swans’ 2-2 draw with Leeds.

He played for 59 minutes before being replaced by David Brooks.

Club-mate Declan John, meantime, was not part of the matchday squad.

Bersant Celina could line up against the Faroe Islands tonight after starting Kosovo’s goalless draw in Azerbaijan on Friday.

The attacking midfielder played the first 70 minutes of the Nations League stalemate before being withdrawn.

Sweden are also in action this evening, against Turkey in Solna, meaning there could be some game-time for Kristoffer Nordfeldt and Martin Olsson.

Joel Asoro will be part of the Sweden Under-21 squad as they take on their Turkish counterparts on Tuesday.

He played 77 minutes on Friday in the young Swedes’ 1-0 win over Hungary.

Cian Harries and Daniel James both played 90 minutes for Wales’s under-21s as they beat Luxembourg 2-1 in Bangor on Friday, while Aaron Lewis, Liam Cullen and Brandon Cooper were unused substitutes.

Rob Page’s team take on Portugal in Bangor on Tuesday.

Cameron Carter-Vickers, meanwhile, remains with the United States squad as they prepare for a home game against Mexico in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The on-loan Spurs defender was an unused substitute in the Americans’ 2-0 defeat to Brazil over the weekend.
