Jefferson Montero has suffered injury misfortune during his loan spell at Birmingham City, shortly after making his bow for the Blues.

The Ecuador international made two substitute appearances for Pep Clotet’s side, but picked up a thigh injury in their 2-1 loss to Stoke City and has been ruled out for a number of weeks.

Courtney Baker-Richardson is also sidelined by injury at the moment having made three appearances for Accrington Stanley since making his loan move to the Crown Ground.

Defender Joe Lewis, meanwhile, has played in six of Torquay’s 10 games so far this season in the Vanarama National League.

His most recent start came at the weekend as they beat Harrogate 4-2 at Plainmoor, while - in the Cymru Premier - Tom Price made his Aberystwyth bow as they lost 2-1 to Airbus UK at the weekend.

Gregor Zabret has played once for Oldham, featuring in the Football League Trophy against Liverpool U21s, with the Latics claiming a 3-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Joel Asoro (Groningen), Cian Harries (Fortuna Sittard) and Steven Benda (Swindon Town) have yet to make their debut for their loan clubs.
