Swansea City Under-21s Derby Kenji Gorre Jefferson Montero

6th March

Swansea City Under-21s could include first-team winger Jefferson Montero for their Premier League Division Two clash with top-of-the-table Derby on Monday (1pm).
Midfielder Kenji Gorre - who was top scorer for the U21s last season with 18 goals - could also be included and make his first start for the development squad since his loan with Dutch side ADO Den Haag ended in January.
Goalkeeper Josh Vickers is also likely to return for the match at Landore.
The young Swans go into the game off the back of two defeats away at Aston Villa and Blackburn.
Coach Gary Richards urged the U21s to use home advantage to bounce back from their recent defeats.
"We are disappointed with the result against Blackburn," he said. "It was not one of our better performances of the season.
"We must aim to bounce back against Derby on Monday and return to producing attacking performances we know we are capable of.
"We have a good record at home so we must look to take advantage of that."
Despite Oliver McBurnie taking the lead against the Rams in September, the U21s narrowly lost the return fixture 2-1.
"It was a close game and one that could have gone either way," Richards added. "Derby have gone on to lead the table this season.
"The match could come at a good time for us. We know we will need to raise our game to match their level.
"If Kenji and Jeff are available for us come Monday they will add valuable experience to the team which can only boost our players' development."
