Taylor highlights tactics boost from tour

20th July

Neil Taylor feels the Swans benefited tactically from their trip to America.
The club took in two games during the latter part of their two-week training camp in Chicago, Milwaukee and Minnesota.
The first week was spent building fitness with triple sessions on some days as the squad prepare for the new Barclays Premier League campaign next month.
The, in the final few days, Garry Monk's side drew 1-1 with Mexican side Chivas Guadalajara before a disappointing 2-0 defeat on Saturday night to North American Soccer League club Minnesota United.
And Taylor feels they fly home today having gained a lot from their tour.
"The game itself was poor from us - it wasn't good good enough," admitted Taylor. "However, it's early in pre-season for us and it's a transition period for us and the club.
"We've worked very hard in the last two weeks and we've got out of the week what we wanted to.
"We've tried new things tactically, and we've made progress on that.
"We will now travel back, play the five domestic friendly games and hit the ground running when we return home.
"Overall, it was a good trip for the club."

A record crowd of 9,064 turned up at the National Sports Center in Blaine while over 30,000 were in attendance for the Swans' opening game.
Despite being across the Pond, the Swans were back by fantastic support with the Jack Army in fine voice.
The Swans signed autographs for supporters post-match, and Taylor said it was fantastic to get that level of support in America.
"I wasn't in America two years ago when we toured, but the lads tell me we've got even more support this time around, and that's great," added Taylor.
"There's a great vibe here and I think the supporters have enjoyed seeing us over here."
