Jay Fulton reckons Swansea City got the rewards they deserved in Saturday's comprehensive 3-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

The Swans ended a three-game winless run by chalking up only their second home triumph in 2018-19.

Fulton came off the bench to complete the scoring at the Liberty after Courtney Baker-Richardson and Connor Roberts had given the hosts a 2-0 lead.

And the midfielder felt Graham Potter’s side got the result they deserved.

“We’ve played well over the past couple of weeks, but the points haven’t followed,” he said.

"But against QPR we got our reward with the three points.

“We were in control of the game. We’ve not managed to score in the last few games so to get the three goals and a victory was important.

“It was disappointing to lose here against Bristol City and then to follow that with the draw against Nottingham Forest.

“It’s an important win for the fans to get them behind us, and it will also help us climb up the table.”

Fulton’s goal in the 83rd minute rounded off a brilliant move consisting of 35 passes.

“Throughout the game, there were a lot of good combinations,” he added. “We were packing the midfield with the two full-backs tucking in.

“After 35 passes, finishing that move off with the goal was pleasing.”
