'We have to thank our fans'

Graham Potter said thank you to Swansea City’s fans for the part they played in victory at Bolton Wanderers.

The Swans claimed their first away win in six games – and only their second at Bolton in 19 visits – thanks to Barrie McKay’s early goal.

Potter’s men were the better side in the first half, but they were forced to dig in after the break as they scrapped their way to three points.

And the Swans boss reckoned a 705-strong contingent of travelling supporters deserved credit for helping his team get over the line.

“A big thank you goes to our fans,” Potter said.

“They were fantastic throughout and they really helped us along today.

“They were great for us at Rotherham last weekend and we were unable to give them a reward, so it was nice to be able to do that this time around.

“They have been fantastic for us all season and we thank them for that.”
