The Swans Community Trust have teamed up with Para Dance UK and Impetus Dance as part of their ongoing commitment to ensure all disabled people have access to quality sport and physical activity.

As a result of the partnership, free inclusive dance session for disabled adults are on offer at The LC, Swansea between noon and 1pm every Tuesday until March 27. The sessions are aimed at adults with a range of disabilities.

The sessions will be taken by Para Dance UK instructor Louise Bowman, who has over 20 years of dance experience and will cover a wide variety of dance styles including ballroom, Latin and freestyle.

The sessions are open to all abilities, including people with long-term conditions and limited mobility, and Para Dance UK believe that everyone can dance.

“This is a really exciting opportunity not only for us to develop a new partnership with Para Dance UK and Impetus Dance, but for disabled adults in Swansea who can now attend dance sessions for perhaps the first time,” said Geraint Edwards of the Community Trust’s Inclusion project.

“The sessions will not only offer people the opportunity to get fit and active but will also provide a great opportunity for people to meet new friends and socialise.

“If these taster sessions are a success we are confident that they could be a regular feature in the Community Trust’s Inclusion calendar.”
