Emnes: It's Marvellous to be back

Marvin Emnes is looking to blossom once again at Swansea City after the Middlesbrough loanee reunited with some familiar faces.
Emnes is back at the Liberty for the second time after joining on loan for the rest of the season in a move sealed just hours before the transfer window closed last Friday.
The 25-year-old spent a month on loan at the club during the 2010-11 campaign, scoring two goals in four league games in a season in which the Swans went on to win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Emnes, who can play on the wing or up front, is relishing the opportunity of playing once again with the Swans - and in the Premier League - as he hopes to make his debut in Saturday's home clash with Cardiff City.



"It's great to be back," said Emnes. "I had a good time when I was on loan here a few years ago.
"I have followed the club's results since. It was great to see Swansea being promoted at Wembley later that season - it was a great achievement for the club.
"I played a small part then, and hopefully I can play a bigger part now. It's a great opportunity for me to show my talent on the biggest stage with Swansea, whom I know very well.
"I like the way the team play and I have some close friends here too. The Spanish and Dutch influence is still here too, so it's easy to settle in as it's a similar environment.
"I've enjoyed training. It's pretty much the same style from when I was here before - working it up from the back with everyone looking to get involved.
"And it's great for me to play again in the Premier League. I spent my first year with Boro in the Premier League, and I've had a few years in the Championship, but now I'm back in the top flight and I want to show what I'm capable of in the best league in the world.
"I want to help the team as much as I can and make an impression. If I can score a few goals, or lay a few on, then that would be great.
"We want to move up the table and create a gap between ourselves and the teams below us."
Emnes met up with the squad on Tuesday as the focus turned to Saturday's home derby with Cardiff City.
The Dutchman is well accustomed to the Welsh derby, having struck the winner against the Bluebirds in a 1-0 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium in 2010.
And he is relishing the prospect of again being involved this weekend as the Swans look to bounce back from Saturday's defeat at West Ham.
"Scoring that goal was a great feeling. I didn't really understand how big the game really was at the time," explained Emnes.
"Even when I was at Middlesbrough, long after that goal against Cardiff, I had Swansea fans thanking me for what I did.
"It would be great if I can repeat that this time and we win the game."
