Jack Evans is relishing the chance to represent Wales Under-20s at this summer’s Toulon Tournament.

The young Dragons kick-off their campaign against 12-time winners France next Tuesday, with games against Bahrain and Ivory Coast to follow.

The midfielder, who has featured 19 times for Swans U23s this season, is excited to represent his country alongside six team-mates including Liam Cullen, Daniel James and Joe Rodon.

“I was thrilled to get the call-up, especially alongside so many other Swans players,” said the 19-year-old.

“All are good friends I have grown up with, so it will be great to get the chance to represent my country alongside them.

“The fact so many of us are involved shows how hard we have worked all season.

“We have done well as a team for the U23s this year and we hope to take that success onto an international stage and get as far as we can.

“It is a good tournament and we have a chance to represent Wales in it for the first time in our history. It is an exciting time - I’m looking forward to getting started.

“France will be a tough test, but one we are looking forward to. Our aim will be to play as well as we can and challenge them for a result.”
