Swansea City Ladies will not play again until at least May 15 after the Football Association of Wales confirmed the latest extension to the suspension of domestic competition in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The FAW had initially suspended all domestic fixtures until April 4, with that date then being pushed back to April 30.

But Ian Owen’s unbeaten side will face a longer wait to return to action after the FAW confirmed on Friday there would be another extension to the middle of next month.

An FAW statement read: "The Football Association of Wales has taken the decision to extend the current suspension of all domestic football in Wales until at least Friday, May 15 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Last month, the FAW's board of directors exercised their powers to indefinitely extend the 2019/20 season for all national leagues, national cup competitions and the FAW Futsal League.

"The current working documents for the Cymru Leagues and the Welsh Premier Women's League have been shared with clubs, in order to find a solution for the resumption of football when it is safe to do so."
