Moore exits Swans

23rd August

Swansea City has parted company with striker Luke Moore by mutual consent.
Moore, who joined the club from West Brom in January 2010 for an undisclosed fee, had the remaining 10 months of his contract cancelled in order for the 27-year-old to become a free agent.
The striker has recently been linked with Turkish side Elazygspor.
Moore came through the ranks at Aston Villa where he won the FA Youth Cup in 2002 before scoring 15 goals in his five years as a professional - including a Premier League hat-trick at Middlesbrough in February 2006. In total, he made 41 starts for Villa, plus 57 substitute appearances.
An England Under-21 international, he moved from Villa Park to the Hawthorns in a £3m deal in May 2008 after an initial three-month loan deal that culminated in West Brom securing promotion to the Premier League.
He made one Premier League appearance for the Baggies that season, plus a loan spell at Derby County where he scored four goals in nine starts.
Following his move to the Liberty Stadium, Moore scored three goals in 18 Championship appearances as the Swans headed to the Premier League.
During the club's first campaign in the top flight, Moore made a total of 22 appearances in all competitions, with five starts and three goals.
He was restricted to 20 appearances last season, including six starts and five goals.
Swansea City would like to thank Luke for his contribution to the club and wish him well for the future.
