Swansea City Under-18s welcome Watford to Landore for the second time this week in their Professional Development League clash on Friday afternoon (2pm).

Entry to this fixture is FREE, and spectators are permitted onsite from 1pm.

The Swans faced Watford on Tuesday afternoon in the Professional Development League Cup semi-finals, where the age-grade side progressed to the final thanks to second-half goals from Thomas Woodward and Jacob Cook.

Victory made it five wins in a row for the young Swans, and three of those have come in the league against Colchester United, AFC Bournemouth and Ipswich Town.

In the reverse league fixture against the Hornets, the Swans claimed their first away win of the season back in September as a Sammy Henia-Kamau brace secured the win.

Watford - who are in contention for the PDL South title - sit on 40 points, just one point behind league leaders Bristol City.

The Hornets come into the fixture having won their last two league fixtures against Queens Park Rangers and Colchester United respectively.

Coach Jarred Harvey: "It's not often you play the same team twice within a matter of days, but short turnarounds help the boys learn the lessons of professional football.

"Tuesday was a great day for the team, we've enjoyed it and now we focus on Friday. Watford were tough opponents, particularly in the first half, they didn't let us near the goal and they were strong.

"The boys are in good spirits after reaching the final, and making it five wins in a row, but we want to make sure we end the week on a high.

U18s celebrate semi-final win over Watford

Swansea City 2 Watford 0

A fantastic second-half performance saw Swansea City Under-18s defeat 10-man Watford to reach the final of the Professional Development League Cup when they previously met just a few days ago.

Thomas Woodward and Jacob Cook were on the scoresheet for the hosts at Landore as they progressed to the showpiece for the first time.

The win made it five victories in a row for the development side, and it was thoroughly deserved following a dominant showing after the break.
