Study with the Swans

25th April
Foundation

Are you passionate about pursuing a career in the football industry? If so, come and study with us at Swansea City Community Trust in 2017/18.

Swansea City Community Trust’s two-year Foundation Degree programme is designed for those who are interested in completing a degree programme and have a passion for pursuing a career in the football industry.

The course, designed in conjunction with the EFL Trust, allows students to develop the necessary skills, abilities and knowledge to follow a career at a professional football club or a National Governing Body.

Delivered in partnership with the University of South Wales, all lectures, seminars and tutorials are delivered in a supportive and inspirational club environment via online material.

Most lectures will take place at the home of the Swans, the Liberty Stadium. Alongside the academic element of the course, students will complete up to 200 hours of voluntary coaching within the community, alongside the Community Trust staff, allowing students first hand opportunities to develop their practical coaching skills and embed the content learned in lectures.

Through the Trust’s partnership with the University of South Wales, all students will be registered as a student at the University. Students will be able to access the University’s online library, blackboard and learning materials, providing them with the best possible learning environments.

Students will also be eligible to play for the University’s many sports teams and participate in the BUCS leagues (although they will need to travel to the main campus in Treforest should they wish to do this)
