Swansea City have taken to the bingo hall to join members of Castle Leisure in a charity game of bingo in association with Carling.

Castle Bingo members got the chance to meet Swans stars Nathan Dyer and Alfie Mawson at their club in Morriston.

Also present was Swans club ambassador and Castle Bingo members’ favourite Lee Trundle.

The trio met members of the franchise and lifelong Swans fans at the event, which was dubbed ‘Swans at the Castle’.

Winger Dyer not only met affiliates of Castle Bingo, but graced the stage to call a round of charity bingo.

In eager anticipation of the call of ‘HOUSE’, Nathan glided through the number-calling like a professional, adding humour and a light touch to the occasion as a number of false calls were made.

“It was a bit nerve-racking as I had a lot of rules I had to abide by, but it was a really good laugh and everyone took it well when I called the numbers wrong,” Dyer said.

The Swans appeared at the Bingo Hall as part of Carling’s sponsorship agreement with the club.

Carling, which is owned by Molson Coors, is the UK’s largest beer brand, the official beer of the Premier League and proud sponsor of the Swans.

Molson Coors decided to offer this opportunity to the community of Swansea by staging the event at Castle Leisure.

Diane Rees, Molson Coors’ regional director, said: “Molson Coors have been a brewery partner at the Liberty Stadium from the earliest days, and we are delighted that the benefits of our association with Swansea City have facilitated the evening at Castle Bingo.

“Members and staff were thrilled and an enjoyable time was had by all.”

Mark Davies, the Swans’ global head of partnerships, added: “We encourage all of our sponsors to use their assets as creatively as possible and this was a great opportunity to assist Carling’s key accounts locally and engage not only Swansea fans at Castle Bingo but also their own customers.

“It’s also a fantastic opportunity for players to engage in an activity they wouldn’t usually do, and I am pretty sure it’s the first time Nathan and Alfie have done anything like this.

“We’re proud of our working relationship with Carling, who are one of the club’s longest-serving partners, and we are happy to support them as much as we can in complementing their Premier League partnership.”
