"There's plenty more to come," says Wilfried Bony

Wilfried Bony insists he can get even better next season after the striker stole the show at Swansea City's annual awards dinner on Wednesday night.

The Ivory Coast international picked up four of the main awards at the official Player of the Season function, run in conjunction with the Supporters Trust and Executive Fundraising Committee.

Bony was named Supporters' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Top Goalscorer and Best Newcomer after an emphatic debut season with the Swans, where he has scored 24 times this campaign.

But despite such a fantastic start to life with the Swans, the club's record signing believes there is plenty more to come next season.

"I'm normal like the other players. I just try to do my part for the team. I try to support the team in the best way I can, scoring goals," said Bony.

"I have improved a bit this season, but I think there is more to come.

"After Wednesday night, you can see it was a good move to come to Swansea.

"I worked hard to get rhythm, for the chance to play and to stay in the team.

"I didn't know how many goals I would get, but every time I would try to score more.

"I'm happy in Swansea as you can see. I'm happy with the fans and the people of Swansea."

Meanwhile, Bony expressed his delight at the news that Garry Monk had been named Swans first-team manager after the former Swans skipper signed a three-year deal on Wednesday.

And the Swans number '10' is hoping to sign off this season in style with a victory over Sunderland.

"I'm very happy that Garry (Monk) has been given the chance as manager," he added.

"I knew Garry from before he became coach, so it was not such a big change when he became coach.

"I'm excited about the World Cup, but Swansea are important to me. Hopefully I can score another couple of goals against Sunderland.

"We've been working hard and we had a good season, not like the one before, but to stay in the Premier League, I think we did well."
