Vorm is on the comeback trail

Michel Vorm is on the road to a full recovery following a successful knee operation.
The Dutch keeper recently underwent an operation to sort out a long-standing knee problem, which has ruled him out of the last five matches.
Vorm remains on the comeback trail, but the 30-year-old insists he has felt a big improvement since the keyhole surgery which repaired damaged meniscus (rubbery tissue between the bones of the knee joint).
"The operation went to plan," said Vorm, who has kept seven clean sheets in 17 appearances for the Swans this season. "There was a little tear in my meniscus, which caused a lot of problems, but a small operation of around 30 minutes sorted things out.
"After a week of the operation, I feel much better than before. I can do almost everything already.
"My knee has a little bit of fluid in it, which is normal at this stage, but I'm very comfortable with my recovery.
"I feel better than how I did before the operation. My knee feels better and my movement has improved, so that's great for me.
"We tried our best to contain it. I missed the Europa game in Switzerland, and I trained fine after that.
"But during the warm-up of the Norwich game I could sense maybe something wasn't right. I'm the kind of player that will battle through it though, and I did for 90 minutes.
"After that game, my knee flared up so we knew we had to get it sorted."

While Vorm will again be unavailable this weekend as the Swans return to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, the shotstopper insists he won't be rushing his comeback.
He added: "We are in a safe pair of hands with Gerhard (Tremmel) playing. He did very well last season and he's played a lot of matches already this season too.
"The good thing is that I won't be rushing myself back. I need to take my time and make sure I'm 100 per cent before I put myself forward for potential selection.
"I've not said to myself that I should make it back for this game or a certain date, because in a way that can affect you if you don't make it back by then.
"I just want to make sure everything is perfect before I am back on the pitch."
