Walsh looks to end 2018 on a high
Swansea City Under-18s striker Marc Walsh hopes a growing on-field understanding can help them end 2018 with victory over Fulham on Wednesday (11am).
The Swans play their final fixture of the calendar year at Landore, and will be seeking a positive result having earned a point against the Cottagers in the opening game of the season back in August.
Republic of Ireland Under-18 international Walsh acknowledges it has been a testing time for the young squad in Premier League South.
But he feels there is a growing confidence and cohesion in a squad coached by Anthony Wright and Jon Grey, and hopes it can ensure they end 2018 with some momentum to take into the New Year.
“We’ve had a sticky start to the season,” he said. “It always takes a bit of time for new players to gel, but I think we’re getting there now.
“I hope we can finish the year in a strong manner against Fulham. We managed to get a 1-1 draw against them at the start of the season, which was a great result for us.
“We’re starting to feel confident now, so I hope we can end 2018 on a high.”
