Swansea City Women have completed the signing of defender Kelsey Thomas.

Thomas rejoins the Swans having spent the 2020-21 season with the club, before having spells with Aberystwyth Town Women and Carmarthen Town Women.

The 18-year-old shone with Carmarthen n in the second half of last season, contributing 12 goals and 14 assists in just nine league games.

The defender is the Swans fourth signing of the summer ahead of the 2023-24 Genero Adran Premier campaign.

“I’m really excited to be back, to be able to come back to Swansea means a lot to me,” said Thomas.

“I’ve grown a lot as a player, I was a bit younger when I was last here but I’ve gotten older and matured in my game, so I think that has benefited me.

“I’ll be looking to replicate last season, it will be against harder and stronger players, but I’m confident I can do it.

“I’ve come back and I am hoping to win the league again, and hopefully I can help the team out.

“I’d say that I’m quite aggressive and an all-rounder as a player, and I’m quite good at creating goals so hopefully I can do that and help the girls.”
